How is this achieved: By obtaining meats from certified organic producers who consistently maintain the highest quality standards. By using very high quality production techniques for the manufacture of preserved meats and sausages. Barossa Fine Foods was a finalist in the EPA Cleaner Production Award and won the KESAB metropolitan environment award in 2000.




Organic Ham (left) looks more like roast beef to the untrained eye. Why? Because we are used to seeing a pink colour that is caused by toxic nitrites and nitrates. Barossa Fine Foods creates a pink look for some of their meats (e.g. sausages at right) from a pepper based seasoning

 

Liver (centre) is probably the most important meat to choose as organic. The liver is an organ that accumulates toxins and here you can be sure of getting the wonderful resource of vitamins and minerals without the toxins
